The last time we visited Kiara, we took the asphalt trail but as we’ve said – it’s not jungle school unless you get a little dirty, so we went back to follow the road less travelled. Well, less travelled compared to the asphalt trail anyway.
From what I gather, these trails are popular MTB trails so I’m gathering that the weekends may not be a good time to hike. When we went, we only encountered one mountain biker – the rest were hikers. There are many, many trails in there and it takes you all the way to Sri Hartamas – which is actually not that far – but you probably don’t want to forget where you entered so you don’t end up having to pay for a cab fare to get back.
Bukit Kiara makes for a rather lovely hike with scenic views (minus the early part of the trail where all the rubbish is)…
These were my Polar Beat stats for our hiking session (although I should add that I think my fitness has also improved significantly).
Check out the trail…
We entered through Taman Lembah Kiara – there is a dirt path entry from the car park. Although you can part on Changkat Abang Haji Openg and enter through one of the many exits point along the asphalt trail.
