How to Make Your Own Boost Juice

I was out with Hercules while Aristotle was at school and we bought a Boost Juice. Unfortunately, I failed to dispose of the evidence before picking Aristotle up from school. Spying the Boost Juice cup, Aristotle was most upset that he had missed out on Boost Juice. Rather than detour to the nearest Boost Juice stand, I convinced him to make our own Boost Juice at home since the supermarket was a more convenient stop.

We made our own Banana Buzz and Cookies and Cream (with some slight modifications to the ingredients)…

Cookies and Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 Oreo cookies (the original flavour – which we couldn’t find so Aristotle settled for peanut butter/chocolate)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large scoops of Bulla Frozen Yoghurt (the original flavour – which was out of stock so we ended up getting the strawberry flavour)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method:

Blend everything in a high powered blender (like a Vitamix or the equivalent). Pour and serve.

Banana Buzz

Ingredients:

  • 1 large banana
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large scoops of Bulla Frozen Yoghurt (original flavour)
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey (we used 2 tablespoons which was way way way too sweet, so I’m suggesting 1/2, especially if your banana is quite ripe and your frozen yoghurt is sweetened)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method:

Blend everything in a high powered blender (like a Vitamix or the equivalent). Pour and serve.

It was nice to see Aristotle drinking “healthy”-ish smoothies. I hope this will be the beginning of a growing healthy habit…
