The latest addition to the Angry Birds Fever has been the Angry Birds Board Game (okay, so its been around for a while and I just haven’t gotten around to blogging about it):
Yup, you can now play Angry Birds even if you don’t have a smart phone or tablet pc. Going back to our non-techie roots, the Angry Birds Board Game is simply a modified version of bowling:
As usual, Gavin’s seen it around and he has been begging me for it. I was tempted to get it because it offered entertainment value without a screen (which is becoming a rare breed these days). That was, until I came up with our own “home made” Angry Birds game.
What you will need:
- A set of “Angry Birds” – great if you have the figurines or stuffed toys, otherwise any makeshift set of Angry Birds will work just as well
- A set of “Pigs” (or “monkeys” if you prefer) – ditto
- Create a structure.
- Place your pigs (or monkeys) into the structure.
- Fire your Angry Birds at the structure and try to knock down all the pigs/monkeys.
Here are some of our setups: Level 1 –
Level 2 – (that’s Gavin’s hand performing a mock shot of the blue Angry Bird flying towards the enemy)
Level 3 –
And there you have it – loads of fun and hours of entertainment value not to mention a great way to improve hand-eye coordination…
